Seeing as there's a new character in the story and I havent updated this thing in a while I figure I'd write a little something tonight. Here are some of the things that I probably won't write about in Moonlight Melody. Stuff that isnt really necessary to the plot but hey, who'd complain about knowing a little more about the childhood that Alice seems to breeze through as she tells about when she and Aiden were younger?

There aren't any spoilers in this post though I guess as time goes along and more of this character is revealed I'll write more about him ^_^

Adrian Flynn, as Alice said, is the childhood friend of Mary Alice Brandon. As the son of Mary Alice's best friend, Adrian always came over to the Brandon house alot. And when Alice was born he naturally came with his mother to see the new baby (The houses where Alice and Adrian lived were pretty spread out and secluded, so he didn't have much to do and Adrian wasn't going to school). The moment that he and baby Alice met eyes, the two developed a deep bond. They became inseparable from that day forward.

Sure, he was years older than she was, but it didn't bother him that he was spending most of his time caring for her. There was just some sort of bond between them that he couldn't understand but he naturally accepted because it just seemed right.

Many of Adrian's(who was 9 at the time) days were spent playing with and taking care of baby Alice. When she grew older, he acted as a big brother for her, walking around with her, taking her places, playing in the stream and making mud pies. They had countless mud fights and the two of them used to always get into so much trouble for getting muddy.

Neither kid cared though. They both loved it too much to stop and Alice especially refused to listen to her mother's scoldings. The two used to get in so much trouble for it and one night Alice even convinced Adrian to run away with her. Of course they didn't get too far on their ration of bread, cheese, and sweets. Eventually they had to turn back and BOY did they get it when they got home.

As they got older and Alice started to get ideas about love they started playing house and that was when Adrian proposed they get married. He'd heard that if they really loved eachother and wanted to be together forever they could get married and never be apart even when they died. Alice, who was then 8 (he was 16), was more than happy to comply. She wasn't even CLOSE to being ready to let go of him.

So one morning they snuck outside into the daisy field and tried to get married. Adrian told Alice that they need to have ring, to whisper their promise and then seal it with a kiss. So Alice wove a wreath of daisies for him, whispered in his ear what she thought was her promise to him (she knew what she wanted but didn't know how to say it): "I'm yours..."

When she blushed and readied herself to kiss him, he leaned over and gently kissed her on the cheek.

They had a lot of good times together. Everyone knew that if one of them was around so was the other. It was Adrian who gave Alice her wacky edge and taught her to dance one night in the field that they were supposedly married in. Adrian pretty much made Alice what she is in Moonlight Melody.

O kay I figured that since I had put some pictures that I drew for Hidden Power I would put up some pictures that Edward drew for me in honor of Moonlight Melody. Heck, in honor of Twilight. But what the hell...why not show you what we think Alice, Jasper and Edward look like? Possible more on the way.

He's working on more at the moment but the next ones that we put out will be colored instead of in black and white. I'm working on my coloring abilities ^_^

My 0wN lil TwiSts

H ad a few people lately who pointed out that Moonlight Melody is very different from Twilight. A number of people were surprised at this when I posted chapter 1 and told me that I had gotten the story wrong. Yup it's different. It just one of those stories that shows you just how things might have gone differently had this happened instead of that.

What love story could have bloomed between Jasper and Alice if Jasper had known her while she was in the hospital? What do you think Jasper and Edward were like before you read about them in Twilight? What if Alice had never been crazy? What if she'd known Edward and Carlisle personally before she was changed? What if she actaully remembered everything? These are all questions that Moonlight Melody will answer.

I might have substituted most of Stephenie Meyer's facts about the characters with something close to resembling it in this story. Just to sort of hint what kind of vampires they will become in Twilight. They are pre-Twilight characters in this story so I'm hoping to portray how they were before Twilight. How they became the people that Stephenie Meyers writes about today.

Examples...

• Alice is a quirky and happy young woman who likes to twirl and dance around. Twilight is always comparing her vampiric grace to something that 'would make a ballerina cry'. She's also one of the more perkier Cullens, always nice to Alice.
• Alice seems to have a love for designer brand clothes, fashion accessories (she has such a big vanity table in her room), and even has a full length mirror that Edward got her in her hospital room. This is because we all know how much she will love shopping when she gets the money to do so for Bella in Twilight.
• I've taken the visions that Alice is supposed to have of Jasper and made them into dreams about him.
• Seeing as Alice will be able to tell the future, she has excellent inner tuition about various things throughout Moonlight Melody.
• Jasper is portrayed in Moonlight Melody as lonely and hopelessly dark. His control isn't very good and it will never be good as we see later in Twilight and New Moon.
• Edward was just turned into a vampire recently and is still learning to cope with that (see Chapter 4 when he accidentally answer's Alice's thoughts and gets frustrated with himself).
• Carlisle already harbors a sort of attachment for Esme. In Chapter 4 when he takes a long look at the tree outside Alice's window (Note: He fixed Esme's broken ankle when she fell out of a tree as a child) and reminisces a little about her.
  
• Alice's hair was long in the beginning of the story but you can see when she cuts it and why in Chapter8.
• In Chapters 13 and 14, you find out the story behind the Jasper and Alice soul-mate-stare that you saw in the airport when Alice and Bella came back from Italy with Edward.
  

Anyway for you all here are the main points from the STORY so far that I've taken the liberty of changing in the fic:

1. Alice remembers her human memories.
2. Alice first meets Jasper in 1920 instead of finding him in 1948.
3. Alice and Jasper get married in 1948 instead of finding eachother for the first time.
4. Mary Alice Brandon is living in a regional hospital with a chronic heart condition instead of being crazy in a mental institution.
5. Alice knew Carlisle Cullen a long time before she knew Jasper.
6. The Cullens (what there IS of them at the moment in the story) come into the story much earlier than the 1950s.
7. She has a relationship with Jasper as a human, just like Bella has with Edward.
8. Alice met Jasper because he was trying to mainstream in the hospital at night as a volunteer.
9. Alice is an only child ( I didn't know that she had a sister before and I'm not gonna change it because it says so in New Moon. I'm going to make sure it stays how it is now.)
10. The old doctor that loved Alice originally changed her and wanted to protect her is actually a crotchety old doctor named Mr. Moony Madison (interesting name huh?) and he didn't really love her as much as he did in the Twilight story. To him, Alice was nothing more than the friend with the bad influence on his niece, Ixie.
11. Carlisle is actually the one to change Alice, and Jasper is right there to watch her go through it all. She was never alone.
    

And so that's everything. Of course you know that everything else I added in. Jasper singing to Alice, Alice going to school and having Jasper follow her....that's all me. But the ones that I listed above are probably the ones that would impact the story the most.

W ow! Let me just say WOW! This morning I got a review in Spanish!!! *goes nuts with happiness* I guess people are actually looking at my profile. This was the 2nd review I've ever gotten in another language for the story Hidden Power. My first one was in korean. (Still dont kno what 'jemiiss' means and would <3 some help with that if nebody knows X.X) this 2nd one is in Spanish and although i'm a bit surprised i'm so very excited about reading it!! i hope my grammar wont be too crappy when i respond back. not to mention im gonna need all the practice i can get seeing as ill be seeing my family in california soon and not all of em speak english.

I just had to rant in this little area. Okay so i haven't officially posted it as COMPLETE but I can hardly believe the story is FINISHED! It's amazing, for me! I can't count the number of fics that I've just put off and given up on. I'm so proud to have finished such a long story and seen it thougth how i've always dreamed of finishing it!

S ummary, that I promised to post up on here. This is orginal storyline of Hidden Power, whose titles was actually the 4 Guardians at first (i always sucked at titles >.<). You might find the plot itself is VERY different. There was a whole new plot that came along with the story I'm writing on the net. I felt it was too long and needed to be cut down. There are some things that im making sure to stick with, but I've also added quite a bit as time went on. Like the sprites, and Emma, and Gabriel too.

Now that we're almost at the end of the story, here are some of the pictures that I've drawn a long time ago when I first wrote the story. They are meant to match some of the characters in the story. Only thing you have remember is that since the story is rather old, the pictures might be a little outdated.

3 Sprites/Spirits: Here's a picture of three of the chibis. unfortunately ive been unable to scan my most favorite sprite (Skye). But here's just an idea of what they looked like when I first drew them. Only now Gaia is a girl instead of a boy.

Skye (Guardian in Battle Mode): This is Skye when he's not in chibi mode. In the middle of ch18 this is what the Spirit of Sky looks like when he's ready to fight. He looks a little freaky, but he's meant to be the most powerful of the sprites so there you have it!

Rowan (Guardian of Earth): Behold, the original Guardian of Earth, Rowan Evans. He's the hot, sweet guy who keeps to himself but is polite and not interested in seeing other girls (tho they definitely can't get enough of him lol).

Aja (Guardian of Sky): Aja Killian is the shy Guardian of Sky. Before Hidden Power became a fan fic for CCS this is what he looked like. He was constantly doted on by the Guardian of Water and picked on by the Guardian of Fire and blushed very easily. But despite the fact that he was so quiet and shy, he was always the most powerful of the Guardians.

Well that' all I got at the moment. I could have sworn that I scanned a picture of the Prophet, the TriArch, Ryou and Kotoko, but i dunno where THAT went. Working on more but im currently without a scanner :'( i need to buy myself a fricken scanner or something.

Coming up with the deeper parts of chapter 6 is becoming something of a problem for me. it's the moment when alice gets jasper to tell her about It. It is supposed to represent the unknown monster inside of jasper. he's not sure what to call it in general, so he calls it It.

i like that fact that jasper nearly attacks alice. it's pretty cool to see an evil and dark, but sexy side come out of him. all the more better for him to stay away from bella in the future. he's not in control of his urges. Jasper is supposed to be the worst so I just tried to bring that little part out in this chapter. It’s a good way to show the way his vampiric hunger has changed him so much from the cool and confident Major of the Confederate Army to the taciturn and overly tense and depressed vampire he is in this story (and GOD was it fun).

i got pretty far last night and was so proud of myself. music really helps me write a lot of times...loosens thoughts so that things really flow when i write. but silence really helps the brain too.

You all might have noticed that there was a lot of stuff in here about light and dark. The darkness is that they’re all referring to in here is the It, which if it was kinna confusing, represents the monster side of Jasper. Yknow the evil and constantly hungry vampire part that Edward describes with red eyes in the first chapter of Midnight Sun? The It, or in other words the darkness, is something that Jasper fears and has very little control over. Hence the fact that he nearly attacks alice. It’s that fear that makes him unstable in a way, so that he has he unwittingly exposes his more vampiric traits. He’s so focused on keeping his hunger in check. It’s just not as much in check as he would like it to be.

Of course he’s been a vampire for much longer than Edward (who has better control than him), but Jasper is still not used to the company of humans. Luckily he’s only working the night shift so he doesn’t have to be around humans so much. he has been hunting them for a very long time with whatever clan he’s been living with (haha old habits die hard). But at this point he’s come to realize that he’s unhappy and that something in his life is missing. So he ventures out to find it and maybe make some changes in his lifestyle…that’s how he comes to meet alice!

He’d been a little hopeful until he killed Christian Petty out of anger. Then he realized that change was hopeless. Of course you can see in this chapter that alice convinces him to keep trying. Will he be able to keep in control…?

ThE TrIArCH-->

I didn't really get too much of a chance to talk about the TriArch in this story so this is where im going to do it. It wasn't really discussed in depth in the story since we were so close to the climax of the plot that there was no time to explain about them as much as i really wanted to. I absolutely love them and i can say without a doubt that i had the most fun writing them!

First off who they are: The TriArch is the group of 3 gothic orphans who were brought together solely by destiny to fight Chaos. They're like the Guards of the Guardians, in a way. They each have certain abilities and are like the secret trained assassins for the 4 Guardians. That's why we didnt know about them until the day of the Battle of the End, because their 1st. Duty is to protect the 4 Guardians at all costs (even at the cost of their life). 2nd Duty as a TriArch is to eliminate any immediate threat.

Then their lifestyle is undoubtedly dark. I mean they're orphans. They came together because they were eventually supposed to. The three have each lost their family in some way so all they have is eachother, really. They've turned into a sort of family because they're in this whole thing together. They're a gothic-outcast family. Skye and Meredith are like the constantly bickering brother and sister. Kinna like the relationship Sakura has with Touya. Except Meredith is a little more mature than Skye and always ends up getting the last laugh in the end, no matter what Skye does lol. Emma is like the elder sister who takes care of all of them. She just tends to watch from the sidelines and write her poetry. She loves to write poetry. And she IS the oldest @ 18. Skye is 17. Meredith is 12. (Meredith is the youngest and yet most cynical and powerful of the three).

Personality-wise, each of them are all gothic. I mean they all act sorta of cool and dark. None of them really gives a crap what other people around them think about them. Meredith is the kind of kid whose cold silence freaks people out(she frequently freaks the crap out of Skye out, but he loves that about her). She never really says much and has NO patience. Skye is the rebel type. He likes to cause trouble, but is pretty solemn around people he doesn't know. Always ready for a good fight. Emma appears to be the flirt with a mean streak . That girl can definitely pack a punch (which isn't too common). This is one family that you NEVER want to ever piss off. They won't take it.

T he Prince of Darkness, as told on Myspace is Rosalie's little dog. It's a pretty cute story that I just decided to just briefly mention in Moonlight Melody. Most of the time Bella and the Cullens just call the dog 'Prince/the Prince'.

Rosalie just adores her dog.Prince is like the way that celebrities would adopt tiny dogs and treat them like royalty. There are even some times that Emmett pretends to be jealous of the little dog. Every now and then he'll joke around and threaten to eat Prince. Then Rosalie goes ratting on him to Carlisle. "Carlisle! Emmett wants to eat my dog!" Many times he can be found in Edward's room. Much to Edward's annoyance Prince has taken a certain love for his shoes. he likes to chew on them lol.

There was actually a really interesting episode where Prince suddenly disappeared and Rosalie had no idea where he was. She was REALLY suspicious of Emmett and Jasper. The two guys loved to play pranks on the dog and Emmett would tease her over and over saying that she should stop looking for Prince because he ate him! Meanwhile as Rosalie continues freaking out over her missing pooch, Emmett and Jasper are conspiring with eachother back and forth and others. fans were getting a kick out of the whole thing! they consoled rosalie and reminded Emmett that if he really did eat Prince hell hath no fury like a woman pissed.

In the end, though, it turns out that Emmett and Jasper had actually taken Prince to obedience school the whole time. Edward was in on it but it was Jasper who was the whole brains of the operation. Jasper is always the one who makes the most trouble lol.

Remember when i said that i was thinking about writing another Cullen couple story? Well, last night i was trying to come up with something original as far as plot go (if you're curious i came up with a guy looking for the pieces to his girlfriend's heart) and decided to start working on an Emmett and Rosalie story.

so i did and came out with the prologue already, which i thought came out real cute. it's not exactly how Moonlight Melody started but it's the same sort of point. only Emmett is alone when he tells the story. it's called The Beauty and Beast.

It's got a fairy tale title but im not expecting it to turn out that way. it's going to be a cat/mouse story hopefully for mature audiences only seeing as Emmett and Rose have a more *ahem* physical than soulful relationship. :) Still trying to figure out how/if there is going to be sex in there or what.

im aiming for something more different than usual. it wont be as long as Moonlight Melody, and im not all sure about how the plot going to go. ive just got some backround plot working and this time im NOT posting til it's FINISHED! (hahaha that's what i said about Moonlight Melody and i posted when i was on ch3 -__-'). but im sure it'll be fun writing ^.~

J ust through reading the first chapter of New Moon. it was freakin AWESOME! ahhh! at first it felt like i was reading another fanfic because its' pretty common that everyone guesses what edward will give bella for her birthday *damn, we didnt even get to find out in all the panic :(* and stuff like that in general. it was so nice to see edward and bella for real again. to be reading Meyer's work again after so long was totally refreshing.

the best part, though was the part where Jasper goes nuts. lol, lovely huh? XP i read that part over and over again and told myself, 'this is the wild side of him that im portraying in my story. the raw vampire instinct'. then i thought how the HELL can alice stay safe as a human around someone like this?!

edward will probably in so much pain after this first chapter, the poor guy :'(

Today is Edward Cullen's birthday!! June 20 ladies and gents! :D *yells for all fellow Twilight fans to hear* HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDWARD CULLEN!

god he is so hot! XD well the way Stephenie Meyer describes him, he's hot. tall, lanky, but muscular with untidy bronze hair, marble smooth skin, gold eyes, fastest vampire in the world, absolutely romantic....YUM!

Twilight's a book, by the way. My most favorite book in the entire world at the moment, anyway. it's about a girl named Bella Swan who moves to a town named Forks. there she meets a family of vampires, the Cullens: Carlisle, Edward, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper. The main problem in the story, though is that she and Edward Cullen (a mind reader who curiously cant read her mind, btw) have fallen in love, which literally puts her life at risk. mainly because his nature as a blood-thirsty vampire puts her life in danger. sad huh? well even though he eventually learns to master his urges to kill her, another vampire ends up hunting her.

dont worry she lives. the cullens save her and now she's currently working to persuade edward to change her into a vampire. but its not working. the power of love overcomes all in the end, im hoping.

im a total romance lover so naturally this has become my favorite book in the entire world!! ^_^ i musta read it a hundred times already. i really cant wait til the movie and the next book come out! it's going to be great! *runs in happy circles* i check the website and chat with all other Twilight fans. dude, ive even chatted with the author in the chatroom. she's so cool! lol so there you have it. my Twilight obsession on Edward's birthday, June 20. just thought id mention it for the moment since everyone else is talking about it!

Wow, i cant believe i made it to chapter 6 already. man, i wish i could just post the ch5 already!! i mean i just finished it after seeing people wanted longer chapters and then realizing that a confrontation between Jasper and Edward would be pretty interesting. it seemed perfect! (i did tell people that it would be fairly dark, but i didnt mean drama-cry wise. i actually meant bloody-and-hopeless dark...doesnt Jasper seem like that kind of person?)

stephenie says that the best thing about writing is if it is something that you can re-read over and over and still enjoy then that's very very good! i really enjoyed writing chapter 6. especially the more darker parts hehe. is that twisted or what?

So far i have to say that im pretty pleased with blogger.com. It's a kick-butt blog site and totally easy to handle, unlike other sites. maybe im jus an idiot? :D lol well im really enjoying myself thus far. it's fun to fool around with this thing and ive seen just a sample of the things that we can do on here. ive already tweaked the links on the side bar and im going to try to put a few pretty avatars on there later now that ive discovered the damn Publish button :P (i wonder if my immodicons will show up on here? i wish we had them!) its all pretty free-reigned, thank GOD and we can make our blog look like anything we want!! CHEE-HA! but i guess for now i really like this black theme. it's very simple, very dark, and very classic. very cool. ill wait for a little before i fiddle around with the layout more. im totally enjoying myself.

Well i was just finishing up the author note at the end of ch6 to Moonlight Melody and figured that maybe the readers would want to look in and see how im doing with the story (that's you if you're reading this right now ^_^).

this will be a good way for me to write to you all and for you to check my progress, if you're really that interested in doing so i guess. :) everyone always asks me how things are going with the story and when will i update. do you want a beta reader and i dont get this and that sorta stuff? ill put some summaries in here and explanations. also check the side bar for stuff too as to what im doing right now.

i already had this stuff in my personal blog but i wasnt so sure you wanted to go through the trouble of separating my personal rambling from the story stuff so here you go (not to say you cant look...if you're curious go ahead and read my blog. im proud of it ^_^ the link's on the right.)

i thought maybe id be giving too much away by putting up something like this, but there's always so much that i want to tell you all and i dont want to put it in the story. (now im jus rambling on, god) i can never write enough, i feel. there's always an abundant amount of things to say when im given something to write about (essays and stuff like that) and my stories are no expception to the rule.

so for all you readers out there...this is for you. <3

T here wasn't really much to talk about in chapter 3, to be honest. i mean it's mostly about the life that Alice has been forced to leave behind. that must really suck..i can't begin to imagine never having a normal school life. how she's become something of a school legend for her in-and-out of school routine and make fun out of it by bumping into her. what a fricking pain in the ass!

anyway i sort of took you all through this little guilt trip in chapter four. one reviewer commented that she really felt as if she were going through what alice was going through (THAT made me happy). so i tried to describe alice's ongoing guilt trip as best as i could from all perspectives. alice's, her friends, those faceless students around her, and jasper too. yknow how nothing seems to bother you anymore except that main problem. eventually all the stress drives her blood pressure up and her heart gives out on her. Listening to Linkin Park and 3 Days Grace really helped me write this chapter. Songs like Drown and By Myself are depressing.

writing about edward was fun too. lol showing him making the mistakes of a newbie vampire and hinting at his ability to read minds was a total kick! also mentioned how carlisle remembered about esme (notice how he stared at the tree a little too long...he treated esme as a young woman when she fell out of a tree).

The whole purpose of this chapter was to show you the kind of person Jasper is. He's the guy who tries to stay away from other people for "reasons unknown" to us. Of course we all know it's just like the how edward stayed away from bella (we DO right?? 0.0''), but it's just kinna nice to play it all out in a different way. whereas bella was angry about it, alice saw it as a sort of enigma to discover. she's a girl who loves a challenge.

i absolutely loved that part where jasper sort of helps alice out of that situation with jasper. i mean i kno some of you freaks out there love the damsel in distress thing. hahahaha *bounces around* me too! XD

and finally a note on rosalie in the beginning. im not sure if everyone knows about Rosalie's dog? on myspace some fans have created MySpace accounts and posed as Twilight characters. the characters message people back and forth and comment on what's going on in their lives as characters. like rosalie has a blog of her wedding to emmett, a list of the pros and cons for being a girl vampire, alice reminds other characters about the weather and that they're going to play ball, and finally rosalie has a dog named the Prince of Darkness. lol. yes, she has a dog! that's the dog that Jasper supposedly dropped when he heard alice call him a stubborn ass. more on that in the next post!

Just finished writing chapter 1 and im so PROUD of myself. ive done the summary over and over so many times and enjoyed it eachtime. but after looking at the one i wrote in my composition book and comparing it to the actual writing itself that i intend to post after i finish the story, i didnt write it out as i had expected. things, like the background plot have changed. but i gotta say that i definitely like what i see.

writing about alice's story was easy and fun though. i wanted so much to add parts of her vampire self in there to make a sort of connection, so i put her weaving through people gracefully and swaying her hips while talking to carlisle (which seemed a little sensual but vampirically sensually so in a way). stephenie meyer is always comparing alice's grace to something that would make a ballerina cry. why not show that she always loved to dance around as a human? that's also where her ability to predict Christian's moves as he chased her. eventually her good sense of judgement and prediction will make her into a psychic vampire.

the dream was something i wrote while listening to Linkin Park and Wild Horses, by Natasha Bedingfield. Wild Horses was perfect for getting me in the mood to write the sadness and dreamlife mood for the..er..dream. also take good notice that her hair is long and spread out in what she calls is something 'like a vampire'. just a little hint there :)

one of those subtle connections that will continue to flit into the story here and there! the whole fact that jasper was singing doesnt have anything to do with edward's lullaby whatsoever as some people guess. i used it as an excuse for alice to go looking for jasper other than the obvious fact that she's attracted to his animosity to her (everyone's unbearably nice to the poor weak girl). i keep hoping that jasper would give her his mp3 player so she can listen to the music he was listening to to as he worked, the song that she heard in her dreams. til i remembered that they were in the 1920s. no mp3 players no cd players. :'( singing would work just nicely tho i guess...
